Elizabeth Kleiber, ’19
By Jacob West, Development Coordinator
Welcome home and congratulations to GTCYS alum and flutist Elizabeth Kleiber as she returns to the Twin Cities after winning a position as the second flute/piccolo with the Minnesota Opera!
Elizabeth spent four years in Symphony, including inspiring tours to Argentina and Eastern Europe. After GTCYS, she went on to study flute at the New England Conservatory, followed by a master’s degree from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. When she’s not performing or teaching flute, Elizabeth is an avid traveler, hiker, dancer, and parent to two rescue rabbits!
Reflecting on her musical journey, she shares, “GTCYS made a great impact on my musical growth through diverse repertoire, detailed rehearsals, and frequent performances. Playing alongside top young musicians inspired me to reach a higher artistic level, and traveling internationally strengthened my passion for sharing music.”
GTCYS alums, we want to hear from you! Share your alum update to be featured in our monthly Up Tempo newsletter.
