Play It Forward: 50th Anniversary Campaign

In our 2021-22 season, we celebrated GTCYS’ 50^th Anniversary and set the stage for the next 50 years of music, mentorship, and community. Every gift to the Play It Forward campaign – be it $50 or $5,000 – impacted students through GTCYS’ access, diversity, excellence, and enrichment initiatives.

50th Anniversary Celebration Events

We hosted two 50^th anniversary celebration events at Orchestra Hall, on November 14^th and April 16^th, that featured special guests like GTCYS first artistic director Dr. William LaRue Jones, and GTCYS alumna Gretchen Carlson.
