Legacy of learning, thrilling repertoire, memorable performances, touring –alumni have shaped the GTCYS experience!
Since 1972, GTCYS has helped more than 16,000 young people attain excellence, practice teamwork and explore their connection to the world around them. While many GTCYS alumni can be found in the world’s most esteemed orchestras, the majority apply the values they learned in GTCYS – excellence, teamwork, and community engagement – in their lives as teachers, doctors, lawyers, parents, engineers, scientists and more. No matter what path our students pursue, the GTCYS experience is a memorable, inspiring part of a young person’s life – with benefits that last a lifetime.
GTCYS Alumni Association was created to help alumni reconnect with GTCYS and each other. It is free to join and open to anyone who participated in GTCYS. Alumni Association members enjoy social events and discounted concert tickets, and can determine their own level of involvement, from attending events to volunteering on a committee.
