Development Manager
As Development Manager, Jacob supports GTCYS’ fundraising, storytelling, and community stewardship. Jacob graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.M. in trumpet performance, followed by a master’s degree in trumpet performance and a graduate certificate in arts administration from the University of Colorado Boulder. He has worked with a variety of arts organizations and educational positions including the music development team at CU, the Round Top Festival Institute, as a full time teaching artist, and as a board member with the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestras. Most recently, he earned an M.B.A. in Arts Innovation from the Global Leaders Institute and attended the program’s Global Innovation Summit in Panguipulli, Chile.
Jacob founded and currently plays trumpet with Bur Oak Brass, a locally-based brass quintet, and he teaches and plays trumpet actively around the Twin Cities. When he is not at GTCYS, he loves cooking, urban foraging, climbing, and constructing crossword puzzles for his friends to solve.
