Dan Michel, ’86

Violinist and GTCYS alumn Dan Michel began his musical journey in Little Philharmonia and made his way up to Symphony by his senior year.
He lives in Chicago and serves as the Senior Director of Digital Solutions for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Music remains an important part of his life—he continues to sing cabaret and play violin in his free time.
One of Dan’s GTCYS highlights was Symphony’s tour to Costa Rica in 1986!
“The tour senior year provided me with an experience of a lifetime and gave me friends that I still have to this day,” Dan said.
