Letter from Dan (9/21)
Dear Concertino West,
Thank you for an excellent rehearsal this week! I’m super excited to welcome Diane Hallberg as our wind specialist for this season. She’ll be joining us about twice per month in our large rehearsal and leading sectionals for our woodwind, brass, and percussion players. We’re lucky to have Diane’s expertise and are excited for all the ways she’ll work with students this season!
Rehearsal Recap
After tuning, we played two scales: G major and G minor. We then worked on matching articulation between winds/strings and dynamic contrast in Sarabande. We sightread Sorcerer’s Apprentice from Letter E-H and learned about the fancy time signature of 9/8. After the break, we played through all of Genesis and then worked on getting our rhythms to line up in measures 53-64.

Fill out the question of the week to let me know you’ve read this week’s email. We had 27 members who responded last week. Can we beat that number this week?
I look forward to seeing you at the retreat this Sunday!
