GTCYS Student Ambassadors
The GTCYS Ambassador Program gives students the opportunity to grow as leaders, build confidence, and introduce GTCYS to their peers.
As an Ambassador, you will:
- Represent GTCYS at your school
- Give a short, 5-10 minute presentation in your band or orchestra class
- Thank your music teacher with a special GTCYS gift bag
- Build confidence, leadership, and communication skills
- Help other students learn about GTCYS concerts, auditions, and summer programs
- Be recognized in the Spring Festival program book
How does being an Ambassador work?
- You’ll check in with your band/orchestra teacher ahead of time to schedule 5–10 minutes to introduce GTCYS to your class.
- You’ll give your short presentation to your class by Friday, March 6. We’ll provide clear instructions and talking points, so you’ll know exactly what to do and what to say.
Who can be an Ambassador?
If you’re a member of a GTCYS orchestra and enrolled in your school band or orchestra, you are eligible to be a GTCYS Ambassador!
What if I’m not in school band or orchestra?
We know not everyone has access to band or orchestra at school. Some students are homeschooled, attend schools without instrumental music, or aren’t able to participate for other reasons. If that’s you, don’t worry! GTCYS will have other ways for you to help spread the word and get involved.
How do I sign up?
Use the Registration Form below to sign up by Friday, January 30.
