Vanamali Medina is a Twin Cities flutist with more than 15 years of teaching experience and a certified Suzuki teacher with training through Unit 10. She maintains studios at her home, MacPhail Center for Music, and Mahtomedi Middle School as well as serving as a regular clinician at schools both in the Twin Cities and around the state. She currently serves as a committee chair for the Upper Midwest Flute Association, the Membership Chair for the Minnesota Suzuki Association, and the co-director of the Lake Sylvia Flute Institute. She also performs as a freelancer throughout the area. Her students are consistently selected for regional and all-state honor bands and participate in many area ensembles.
