Rebecca Corson
Rebecca Corson recently moved here from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, where she was an active free-lance musician, performed with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, and maintained a private teaching studio.
Ms. Corson has been a featured performer at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic and the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles Conference with the LSWO. She can be heard on the CDs Converging Cultures and Teaching Music through Performance in Middle School Band. Equally at home performing solo and orchestral literature, she was named a semi-finalist in the Armando Ghitalla International Trumpet Classic and the Masters Division of the National Trumpet Competition. Ms. Corson has performed with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, The Waterloo/Cedar Falls Orchestra, the Dorian Opera Theatre Orchestra, and the Rome Festival Orchestra.
Ms. Corson holds a BA from Luther College and a MM from the University of Northern Colorado. She has studied with Ronald Fox, William Pfund, and Robert Murray.
