About the Instructor

My name is Liya. I am delighted that you are investing in music education for your child! Through this experience your child will not only learn how to play an instrument, but he/she will also develop skills that will serve them lifelong such as self-discipline, perseverance, problem solving, poise, teamwork, and more. Through learning how to play an instrument, students will learn how to enjoy music - to enjoy art - to enjoy life - a QUALITY life.

My passion in music is playing and teaching. I have performed actively as a soloist and as first violinist in Orchestras in Asia and South East Asia before I moved to North America in 2012, as well as teaching. I love bringing music to the Communities, move and touch more hearts. In Minnesota, I have performed as soloist in Churches, Nursing homes, Seniors Communities etc...I have also performed with Golden Valley Orchestra as a Assistant Concert Master in 2016. In Utah, along with professors of South Utah University, we performed for an Art Studio for its Grand Opening.

I LOVE teaching and performing, enjoy playing music with my students, showing them how to use their instruments to express themselves. I always encourage them to perform as much as they can. I formed a Quartet for them to experience chamber music and more... (check out the Gallery) Hope our music can achieve more!! Come join us!
