Jesus Andres Guzman
Born in Vargas, Venezuela, Jesús began to study violin at the age of 7 in the National Network of Youth and Children Orchestras of Venezuela, also known as El Sistema. He continued on to Simon Bolivar Conservatory of Music where he earned a Violin Performance Diploma and received an Associate’s degree in Violin Performance. He also studied in the Latin American Violin Academy in Caracas with the violin master, Francisco Del Castillo. In addition, Jesús has participated in masterclasses with violin virtuosos, Guy Braunstein, Thibault Vieux, and Alexis Cardenas.
Jesús has an extensive performing career, notably the five years he spent as member of 1st Violin of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela under conductors Gustavo Dudamel and Diego Matheuz. In addition, he has been a featured soloist performing concertos with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of Edo. Vargas, and the Vargas State Symphony Orchestra. Jesús has been fortunate to participate in various international and national orchestra tours in Venezuela, Mexico, Japan, and Italy. Lastly, he has had the opportunity to perform with other important international conductors including Simon Rattle, Maxime Pascal, Christian Vasquez, Dick Van Gasteren.
In 2021, Jesús received a special mention in the Medici International Competition.
Jesús can teach lessons in both English and Spanish.
