Jenny Slivinski
Jenny Slivinski is a passionate music educator and multi-instrumentalist that believes in developing a well-rounded musician. Through the development of solid fundamentals, she aims to develop the full artist from the inside out. She strives to nurture individual creativity and expression with the understanding that each student has his or her own voice and unique purpose with the instrument. She is also a strong advocate of complete body awareness: how the entire body aids in the process of creating the ideal sound and how best to use the body in order to avoid pain and unnecessary tensions. Using these ideas, she actively collaborates with each student to form a plan that will nurture their love and enjoyment of music, while meeting their individual performance goals. Jenny also teaches saxophone in addition to orchestral winds.
Jenny maintains a home studio as well as being a member of the faculty at Sarah Jane's Music School and Schmitt Music (Brooklyn Center and Woodbury locations).
She studied Music and Business Administration at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Jenny regularly performs with the Westwind Concert Band and The Silverwinds Flute Choir.
