Irving G. Steinberg

I am a professional double bass player living in Woodbury, MN. In a addition to my freelance career, I am a private double bass teacher. I began private teaching very early in my career while I was still in high school and have worked with music students of all ages throughout my professional life. Working with young musicians has been a passion of mine and I feel it is a very important part of being a well rounded musician. I have worked with GTCYS, Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, and New England Conservatory Prep programs, coached for 3 seasons at the NEC Festival Youth Orchestra, and spent 8 summers as the Teaching Assistant for the Double Bass Seminar at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. I was Adjunct Double Bass Instructor at Christopher Newport University. I use the Vance George "Progressive Repertoire" Method.
