Irine Merz

Academically trained musician, performer and teacher accomplished in a wide variety of musical styles, from classical to traditional and folk music. Born in Tbilisi, Georgia and received her Master's and Doctoral Degrees at Tbilisi Conservatory of Music. Third-place winner of the 7th Annual Competition for Caucasus region musicians. While in Georgia, I was a member of Kutaisi Symphony Orchestra and Tbilisi Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. I am experienced in entertaining live audiences at concert halls, operas, music theaters, hospitals and nursing homes.
I enjoys sharing professional skills with students of all levels, from Young Beginner to Professional, using a unique combination of 37 years of educational and performance experience. I have expertise in violin, viola, guitar and piano.
