Charles Asch

I have taught all levels of cello from beginning to college level in the Twin Cities area for over 10 years. I teach at locations in Wayzata, Excelsior, as well as online by request. Several of my cello students play in levels of GTCYS from Sinfonia through to Symphony. I perform locally with baroque music ensembles, as well as arranging innovative chamber music concerts. I will also be directing several orchestras at Wayzata High School during the 2021-22 school year. I have a Master of Music degree from Juilliard, and I completed by Doctor of Musical Arts degree at University of Minnesota. I accept all levels of students and all ages. I make sure students practice their scales and orchestra music, so they have a great tone and enjoy playing. Students are encouraged to study many styles of music from classical, to folk to pop.
