Ann Zettervall
Ann Zettervall has been teaching cello across the country for over 25 years and is accepting students at her home in NE Minneapolis or at your home in the Minneapolis metro area for an additional fee. She received a Bachelor of Music from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Music from the University of Illinois, both in cello performance — she also completed coursework for a Doctor of Musical Arts in Cello Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois. Her primary teachers have included Bion Tsang, Josh Gindele (Miro Quartet), Brandon Vamos (Pacifica Quartet), Ani Aznavoorian, and Dmitri Kouzov. She has taught and coached chamber music for ages 3–80 privately, at the University of Illinois, at Illinois Wesleyan University, at The University of Texas at Austin, and at Blue Lake Fine Arts and Appel Music Camps. Her students range from public school students to adult learners to music majors. Ann tailors the materials studied to the needs of each student and supports their goals while stressing a solid technical foundation. She has performed as principal or section cello with orchestras across Illinois and Texas and is currently the principal cello of the Wayzata Symphony while working for Hennepin County Library.
