About the Instructor

Adrianna O’Brien is a cellist and Suzuki teacher. She has performance degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and The Hartt School in Connecticut. In 2004, Adrianna moved to Minnesota to teach at MacPhail Center for Music. Soon after, she began a Suzuki cello program at Breck School, and in 2009 she founded the Emerald Suzuki Academy. Adrianna is a sought-after cello clinician and has taught at workshops and institutes around the United States. Her students have held principal positions in their school and youth orchestras, and continue to study music in college. Adrianna is also a founding member of the Loring String Quartet in Minneapolis.
