Zane Kaiser is passionate about engaging with students and families from all backgrounds and experience levels in their music education. Zane currently teaches at Justice Page Middle School in Minneapolis where he conducts all three orchestras, varsity bands, jazz band, and wind ensemble. He enjoys teaching to everyone’s musical skills and creating joy in his rehearsals. Always looking to expand his own knowledge, Zane is also passionate about new music and repertoire selection at the middle and high school levels. He received his B.M. in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, and his M.M. in Music Education from the Longy School of Music of Bard College where his thesis explored developing collaborations between special education and music education departments in schools through the implementation of sensory-friendly concerts. Outside of teaching Zane enjoys playing and teaching bassoon, kayaking around the beautiful lakes of Minneapolis, exploring food, and raising backyard chickens. He and his partner reside in Minneapolis with their cat Jackie and dog Coda.
