Concert Orchestra Conductor
Jack Reynertson is a thoughtful and inspiring music educator who brings an abiding love for young people and the arts to every aspect of his teaching. Jack currently teaches the Repertory and Chamber Orchestras at Edina High school, and will also teach beginning band and orchestra at Eagle Ridge Academy starting this Fall. Previously, Jack taught orchestra at the beginning, intermediate, and high school level in the Burlington Area School District of Wisconsin. While in Wisconsin, Jack studied Comprehensive Musicianship Through Performance, a teaching model which continues to inform his passionate advocacy for education that serves the entire person.
Jack is a driven musical leader, and has studied conducting as a fellow with the Boise Baroque Orchestra and the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra. A Graduate of St. Olaf College, Jack served as principal percussionist for the St. Olaf Band and St. Olaf Orchestra, and continues to perform with many ensembles in the Twin Cities area, including the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra, and Minnesota Symphonic Winds. He lives in Minneapolis and enjoys visiting new places and spending time in nature with his friends and family.
