Irene Pardo was born in Venezuela. A few years later, her family moved to Colombia, where she began her musical studies in Batuta, Meta. Later, she returned to Venezuela to pursue her university studies in music in Maracaibo and also joined the El Sistema, the Latin American Violin Academy, and studied violin and conducting at the José Luis Paz Music Conservatory. Irene has served as Director of the Children’s Choir of the San Francisco Nucleus, and as Violin and Viola Teacher at El Sistema. She has also served as Violin and Viola Teacher at the Batuta Meta Corporation, Principal Conductor of the Batuta Meta Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Academic and Musical Director of Baruta Meta. She has been invited to conduct different orchestras in Venezuela and Colombia, including the mass held by Pope Francis during his visit to Colombia. In 2020 she moved to Minnesota, and currently offers private Violin and Piano lessons in Spanish and English in the city of Inver Grove Heights.
