Symphony December Concert Details
Dear Symphony,
The first few months of GTCYS’ 2025–26 season have flown by! Everyone on staff has enjoyed helping you develop musically, create new friendships, and grow as a community.

CONCERT INFORMATION
Symphony Series Concert with Philharmonic
Monday, December 15, 2025 at 7:00pm
This performance is a mandatory event for members of GTCYS Symphony.
Complete an absence form in advance if you’re not able to attend.
- ALL students are required to stay for the entire concert out of respect for their fellow musicians. Including a pause between the orchestras for a set change, the entire concert will last approximately 2 hours, 15 minutes.
CONCERT SCHEDULE
Monday, December 15, 2025 – 7:00pm
- 4:20pm: BRASS AND PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE Students arrive
- 4:25pm: Symphony brass and percussion rehearsal on stage
- 4:45pm: Symphony students call time
- 5:15pm: Mandatory dress rehearsal
- 6:35pm: Audience begins seating
- 7:00pm: Concert begins
- 9:15pm (approx.): Concert ends
ATTIRE
All students wear ALL BLACK.
Do not wear any aerosol-based perfumes or colognes.
***Holiday socks are highly encouraged!***

- Parking is available at the 21st Ave. Ramp.
- Students need to enter the auditorium through the Stage Door by the loading dock which is to the left of the main patron entrance. Follow signs to the rehearsal room to drop off your coats and cases. Strings and winds may arrive as early as 4:30pm and enter through the Stage Door. Brass and Percussion students should arrive no later than 4:20pm: The brass/percussion ensemble dress rehearsal begins promptly at 4:25 on stage.
- The lobby opens at 4:45pm for parents who want to wait.
WHAT TO BRING
- Instrument and all accessories
- String players: remember your bow, extra strings, rosin
- Wind players: Remember your mouthpieces, reeds, and any other special equipment
- Rock stops are REQUIRED on Ted Mann stage
- Music folder: Check to make sure all your music is in your folder!
- Food/Snacks: Eat dinner before arriving. Bring snacks to eat after your dress rehearsal. Remember NOT to bring anything containing peanuts to GTCYS.
- You do NOT need to bring a music stand.
- Please leave valuables and homework at home.
