Hello GTCYS Woodwind players,
Registration for GTCYS’ Annual Woodwind Day is open now! We’re excited about everything you’ll learn from the amazing Woodwind Day teachers and from each other at this special event on Saturday, October 24.
GTCYS expects all our woodwind players to attend Woodwind Day to make the most of this special enrichment opportunity!

OVERVIEW
Woodwind Day will:
- Build community among GTCYS’ woodwind players at all levels.
- Develop techniques like blending, projecting, and developing an orchestral woodwind sound.
- Help develop effective, healthy practice habits.
- Provide specialized instruction to help you prepare your orchestra parts.
Schedule:
- 9:00–11:10am: Instrument-specific coaching, masterclass, and social activities
- 11:15–11:45am: Lunch (all participants will bring their own meals)
- 11:45–12:25pm: Woodwind ensemble reading session and social activities
- 12:30pm: Woodwind Day Teachers’ Recital*
- 1:00pm: Event concludes
* Parents/guardians are welcome to attend the recital!
Location and parking:
Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis
Free underground parking is available on site via Alice Rainville Place.
Registration:

- The Woodwind Day Fee is $25 per student.
