Philharmonia East December Concert Details

Hello Philharmonia East Families,

We look forward to your concert at Johanna Shores on Tuesday, December 9 at 7:00pm.

We hope you’re excited to perform for the community at Johanna Shores—thank you for playing your part in GTCYS’ mission, sharing the joy of music with audiences who might not otherwise have access.

This concert is an important part of your musical and personal development in GTCYS—it’s a chance to see the impact of your music on your audience. Please review the following information carefully.

CONCERT INFORMATION

Tuesday, December 9, 2026 at 7:00pm
Johanna Shores Senior Living Center, 3220 Lake Johanna Blvd, Arden Hills, MN 55112  
This performance is a mandatory event for members of GTCYS Philharmonia East.
Complete an absence form in advance if you’re not able to attend.

Important: This concert is a gift from GTCYS to the residents of Johanna Shores. Concert seating will be prioritized for residents. A limited audience of GTCYS parents is allowed at the concert, but please do not invite additional guests (friends, grandparents, etc.) to this concert. Additionally, please allow residents to find their seats first and be prepared to stand if necessary as there will be limited seating for parents.

CONCERT SCHEDULE
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9

• 6:00pm: Students arrive
• 6:15pm: Mandatory dress rehearsal
• 6:40pm: Audience enters (families should vacate seats until Johanna Shores residents are seated)
• 7:00pm: Concert begins
• 7:30pm (approx.): Concert ends (once Johanna Shores residents have found their seats, Philharmonia East families may fill in around them or stand in the back)

ATTIRE
All students wear formal concert attire, with the optional addition of holiday accessories. See the handbook for more details.
Do not wear any aerosol-based perfumes or colognes.

When you arrive on campus, take the first left, down the hill, toward the brick building. The entrance closest to your performance space is labeled 3220 and has 3 flag poles right before it.  

When you turn into the Johanna Shores Parking lot, you will see this sign. Turn left and proceed down the hill to 3220, Gables Care Center: 

Parking is available in the lower lot, the upper lot, or along Lake Johanna Blvd.

Then enter through this door at the bottom of the hill:

• All GTCYS students are invited to the Symphony Series Concert with Philharmonic on Monday, December 15 at 7:00pm. GTCYS students can attend for free with the code gtcysmusicstudent.
• Mark your calendars: Your winter retreat will be on Saturday, January 17 from 8:30am – 1:00pm at Roseville Area High School. More details to come!
