Meeting Summary for December 10

Dear Student Leadership Team,

It was great seeing you last night in-person at Westminster! Maestro visited our team and talked a little about his background, including how he became a conductor. What were some surprising things you learned? After he departed, we broke into groups and went to work getting our student-led projects off the ground. We’ll get back into our groups in the form of Zoom break-out rooms at our next meeting on Wednesday, January 7. Remember, some of these projects can be implemented this season and others may take a bit more time. It was exciting to see so many of you bringing your creative energy to the meeting last night!

Action items:

  • Take a look at the Project Group List and let me know if you see any mistakes.
    • There are a few of you who are not assigned. Please email me by next Friday to let me know your preference or I’ll assign you to a group.
    • Group leaders: I’ll be in touch before our next meeting with next-steps for your team!
  • We still need volunteers for the Welcome Crew for some of our orchestras! SLT Members are the perfect people to do this! Sign up by Monday, December 12. We need more volunteers for the following orchestras:
    • Philharmonia East
    • Sinfonia East
    • Concertino East
    • Camerata Con Brio
    • Camerata Vivace
    • Concert Orchestra
    • Philharmonic
  • Since there are no rehearsals next week, there aren’t any announcements to make.
  • If you received any suggestions at rehearsal, please record them here.

And finally, a picture of Maestro speaking with an amazing group of young leaders…
