March 2 Symphony Open Rehearsal: Invite your friends to attend!
Hello, Symphony families!
Your Open Rehearsal is coming up on Monday, March 2. Can you help spread the word?
SYMPHONY OPEN REHEARSAL DETAILS
Who can come?
- Invite musicians, who play violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, or harp to be an honorary member of Symphony on March 2.
- Special note for Symphony: This is a recruiting event, so we ask that you invite friends who are in 11th grade and younger, so they still have an opportunity to audition for GTCYS’ 2026–27 season.
What is it?
Visiting students will play along in Symphony’s rehearsal as much as they want to, or just observe from within the orchestra if they’d rather not play. They’ll learn about GTCYS auditions and summer programs, and they’ll get a chance to chat with GTCYS musicians at treat night during rehearsal!
Why invite friends to come?
- This is a great chance to introduce new students to GTCYS!
- It’s also a competition between the orchestras: The orchestra with the greatest percentage of visitors wins an ice cream party!
When & Where:
- Monday, March 2, 6:45–9:15pm
- Symphony’s regular rehearsal venue: Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis
How to register:
Visitors can register here in advance. Walk-ins are also welcome, but we appreciate a heads up!
