Thanks for a great rehearsal last night.

I was very pleased overall with the progress made since I last rehearsed with you. I was particularly pleased with the endurance and tone projection in the winds sections. Great job!

As you practice this week, please focus on precise rhythm in Pirate’s Legend along with steady metronome work for each section. Our goal for the remainder of the season is to really push ourselves to play every dynamic, every articulation and be aware of when we need to play out and when we need to let others play out.

Next week we will have Autumn Maria Reed, composer of Freshwater Pirates, visit our rehearsal.
