Thanks to all for a warm and joyful rehearsal last night.

It was a great way to wrap up our first semester, as we go into our performance this weekend. Please remember to bring your music and a music stand. Concert dress has been adjusted to “Community Concert”, so wear a plain colored long sleeve top with black bottoms.

As we go into our next semester, this is a great time to make some New Year’s Resolutions regarding GTCYS. This could be anything from committing to practice your music earlier in the concert cycle, or challenging yourself to talk to your section mates before the start of rehearsal or during breaks, or arriving earlier to rehearsals so that we can start on time.

I am asking certain students in the woodwind section to commit to better habits during rehearsals regarding chatting while we are actively rehearsing. I always encourage social interactions before and after rehearsals, but it is incredibly distracting to other students who cannot hear my instructions over the chatter while we work.
