Bravo on a very productive rehearsal last night.

I hope students are now beginning to envision just how well they can polish these pieces for fall festival. Our main goal was TEMPO in Danse Macabre. Please work to playing this piece at 180= quarter or 60 = measure/ dotted half note. I will conduct this piece “in 1”, so it is important that we begin to think of each measure as a unit instead of counting out individual beats. We do not have rehearsal next week, so please take this time to prepare well for your upcoming seating auditions. All of the excerpts are from Danse Macabre, to help you all focus on making that final push to learn and master your parts.

Next rehearsal we will get new music for our December concert, which means we will be reading and learning new notes on top of polishing and mastering our pieces for Fall Festival.
