Hey Philharmonia West!

Nice job with our sectional rehearsal this week.  The focus was March of the Meistersingers and An African-American Air.  Shout out to the cello section for their excellent work in March of the Meistersingers.  

Next week we will focus on Jupiter.  Please be ready to play lots of flats!  A reminder that this needs to be memorized for Spring Festival.  We will talk more about the details of this at our next rehearsal.  Before next Monday, focus on the first 16 measures of Jupiter.  Can you play this every day? Can you play this for someone in your family? Can you listen to a recording of this?  Weather permitting, we will play this outside!

Our repertoire for Spring Festival is:

As we are heading into the final weeks of our rehearsals, here is what is on the calendar:

April 13-treat night!

April 20-parent night! Parents are welcome to come and play along with us!

April 27-regular rehearsal

May 4-final rehearsal before Spring Festival

May 9-Spring Festival

May 11-end-of-year celebration!
