Letter from Ms. Mary (4/28)

Hey Philharmonia East,

Super fun night this week, being able to listen to and perform for Sinfonia East.  Thank you for sharing your music with them, as well as being a good listeners during their performance.

We have one more rehearsal before Spring Festival.  A reminder that our pieces are:

• March Triumphant
• Where the River Shannon Flows
• Jubilee Fanfare

You are playing with such lovely dynamic contrast! When those differences are made and observed, it is breathtaking! Let’s play with these dynamics every time we play our pieces!

We will continue to spend time working on Jupiter.  Can you spend two to four extra minutes each day finding time to play this? Those minutes add up, which adds up to playing more confidently.  Here is the link for the video of GTCYS performing this at Orchestra Hall.  Can you play along? Imagine that you are playing this amazing piece with another 300 students!
