Letter from Ms. Mary (2/16)

Hey Philharmonia West,

Thanks for a great rehearsal this week.  Thanks for being flexible with the space that we were in.  What a fun space to have another treat night.  Thanks to our parent volunteers for making the treat nights extra special. We accomplished much in our rehearsal and I am looking forward to our concert on March 1st. Shout out to the cello section for progress on those extensions!

Next week is our final rehearsal before the concert.  The passages I would like you to play at home are some of the sections that we rehearsed this week.  Please play each of these a minimum of three times before next week:

• Tchaikovsky March: measures 31-39 and 69 to the end
• Vivaldi: measures 41 to the end
• Bach: measures 46 to the end

Next week we will drill the passages that need some review, and then we will run our program at the end of rehearsal.

Last night our student leadership team asked about your favorite and least favorite subjects that you have in school.  I am going to borrow their question and ask you to send me your responses to your favorite and least favorite subjects in school.  You can send those answers to mary@gtcys.org.
