Sinfonia West,
It was another night of hard work! Please take the feedback you received from the sectional coach and work on your music accordingly. Also, you all wrote down specific areas to work on in each piece. Master these sections by next week.
Brass: Check over your key signature! Mark in sharps or fingerings where needed. Please master your notes and key changes in each piece this week. If you take private lessons, please bring your music to your next lesson.
Oboes: Work with a tuner this week throughout each piece making sure your notes are in tune.
1st violins: Please work on any 16th note passages in Dance of the Tumblers.
Cumberland Cross: Work on notes and rhythms at the beginning up to M. 25. Follow the dynamics and phrasing to make it more musical.
Voyager: Time to up the tempo! See if you can work this piece up to 132: quarter note.
Dance of the Tumblers: Continue to work on the style. Remember, the word for this piece is “CRISP”. We will be increasing our tempo to around 120: quarter note this week.
