We had a good rehearsal on Monday!
Let’s keep up the great work.
The countdown is on- we only have THREE rehearsals left!
It is very important that every member is putting in the time to learn our music!
YOUR GOAL: Fully learn each of the following pieces. Treat next rehearsal as if you are performing each of our pieces as a solo!
Ask yourself these questions:
- Can I accurately play each of our pieces with the correct rhythms and key signatures?
- Can I play each of our pieces up to tempo?
- Am I playing with correct articulation and bowings?
- Am I playing with the correct dynamics?
- Am I adding in the correct phrasing?
- Do I know who is playing the melody when I am not?
If you answer “no” to any of these, you know what to focus on! In order to answer “yes” you need to play through your piece to make sure you can actually do it!
Here are the pieces to focus on:
- Echoes of Valor
- Coiled! Listen to how they BOUNCE the bows! Work on adding this in this week.
- James Bond Theme
- Voyager (do a quick review of this one)
