Sinfonia East Students and Families,

Thank you for Tuesday night. It was good to see returning students as well as meet the newest members. Sight-reading new music is tough and you did great! We read all the way through Finale and Bratislava, most of Harry Potter, and a little of Havana.

We also read through Sinfonia East’s part to Jupiter. Jupiter is the grand finale to the Spring Festival at Orchestra Hall. It is very exciting to see and hear everyone performing together! There is a second opportunity to perform Jupiter at the Orchestrating Opportunities concert in February. If you are interested in participating look for the registration link to sign up.

For your GTCYS 10 this week:

  • Listen to and start working through Havana
    • Measures 1 – 26
  • Listen to and work through Harry Potter
    • Goal for next week’s rehearsal is play the entire piece
  • Listen to and work on Bratislava
    • Next week’s rehearsal will focus on beginning – H
  • Listen to It’s About Time – we will work on it next week
