Letter from Maestro Smith (9/16)

Thank you everyone for an excellent rehearsal on Tuesday.  We accomplished a lot!  Thanks for your focus and energy — both are essential as we take our musical journey together this year.

Please continue to focus on the finales — the end of the Passacaglia and the fourth movement of Tchaikovsky.  We made great progress — SLOW practice is essential to master these very fast notes.

We will also continue to work on the first movement of Tchaik.  As you all know, there are some extremely tricky rhythms, and again, we took some big strides last week.

Looking forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday, and for our retreat.

Please be thinking about any AMAZING HUMAN TRICKS that you can share with your colleagues at the retreat….I am practicing mine!!
