Letter from Maestro Smith (4/14)

Thank you for a really great rehearsal on Tuesday.  We are poised for the big day — our complete Tchaikovsky performance.  As we discussed, everyone has worked extremely hard on the hundreds of details of articulation, dynamics, expression, phrase direction and everything else that comes with consummate musicianship.  Now we must focus together and listen to each other (in a new acoustical space) and bring the music to life.

I am very excited about our performance this Sunday — looking forward to seeing you then.
