Letter from Kaiser (2/26)

Hello Camerata Vivace!

Attached is our GTCYS social media post for this event. Feel free to share and enjoy!

We are in the midst of some very exciting few days; our world premiere of Ode to Childhood will be our sole contribution to this Saturday’s concert and I am ready to hit the ground running with you! As we prepare for this truly unique experience, here are some areas I would like for you to review before Saturday:

  • Brass be sure to be ready well before you come in, especially for the brass choir moments in Mvmt III.
  • Oboes please watch for tempo and beat placement at Rehearsal 2 in Mvmt III.
  • Trombone solos in Mvmt I: Lily and Josiah make sure you’re warmed up before we get to dress rehearsal.
  • ALL MUSICIANS: Please note and practice your decrescendos into the end of Mvmt I, tune your big “hits” at the beginning of Mvmt II, and be sure to WATCH for tempos throughout our performance.

Saturday call time is 12:15, dress rehearsal is 12:35, concert is at 2:30, we are last! Wear a solid pop of color on the upper half of your body and concert black below. Next week is OPEN REHEARSAL and we will be working on Lord of the Rings, Spanish Dance No. 3, and Ballet. Come ready to work and share our love of GTCYS with your friends!

Best wishes,

Kaiser
