Letter from Kaiser (9/25)

Hello Camerata Vivace!

As we packed up strings rehearsal I loved overhearing little snippets from the evening: “I really liked that new seating”, “I know exactly what I need to practice”, and even “wait, how was that different from regular rehearsal?”.

Adaptability is the name of the game. Ask any musician who frequently plays in different venues, concert halls, or even just different locations around the world and they all say the first thing they figure out is how to adapt to the new situation. You did just that!

Winds, Brass, and Percussion: I heard great things from your peers and coaches about sectionals. I hope you felt more unified as a section in creating your sound. I cannot wait to hear the efforts of your work when we are combined together again next rehearsal! The strings said it best: they missed having you in rehearsal more than they realized!

GTCYS 10:
It’s time for seating auditions! Seating auditions allow each of you to set and work towards a small goal within the season. Seating auditions will happen again later in the year, so nothing in permanent. There is always something to be learned from any spot in the orchestra, so enjoy the process!

Chamber Music:
Don’t forget to sign up! Our incredible coach is Patty Ryan, who’s bio can be found here!

Meet the Section!
Meet The Section Clarinets

Our wonderful clarinets (Katherine, Lola, Oliver, Alex, Zayna, Rohn) are the first to be featured! Kaiser’s first instrument ever was the clarinet (shoutout 6th grade beginner band in Duluth, MN).

(Email me the first instrument you ever played for a little prize at rehearsal next week)

Have fun practicing!

Kaiser
