8:00-8:10: Break

8:10-8:45: Marquez- Danzon no. 2

• Beginning to measure 48 AND measure 220 to the end

Please focus your attention on these pieces or excerpts. We’re not just going for technical proficiency any more- now is the time to really intake every symbol: dynamics, articulations, bowings, breath marks, etc…

Please also note the following tempi (quarter note has the pulse) for Overture for the End of a Century, in accordance with Ms. Larsen’s wishes.
