Letter from Jack (12/1)
Dear Concert Orchestra,
We had a strong, detail-oriented rehearsal last night. It was an evening of thoughtful, mature music making- though there were moments where we were held back by technical things. Continue to isolate those tricky spots and free your body and mind to be as musical as possible by mastering our repertoire technically. A pre-concert Worklist is in the making and will be sent to you presently.
Next week we have a big task ahead of us! We’ll need to rehearse each piece for our December Concert. Please note that there will be times when your section might not play for a certain movement of Walton. Please rest quietly during this time and enjoy the music making. We’ll need everyone to stay at rehearsal for the full duration of our time together.
We will rehearse in REVERSE concert order.
