Letter from Diane (10/28)
Dear Camerata Con Brio,
Thanks for your excellent work this week. It was a total bummer to lose a rehearsal after the power outage, but your focus this week really helped to make up for lost time. When we had a show of hands, almost every person in the string section had a new stand partner after seating auditions. Your adaptability as you adjusted to this change was commendable–way to go!
We have only TWO rehearsals left before Fall Festival, so please take your GTCYS 10 seriously.

YOUR GTCYS 10 |
Mozart–continue to focus on playing up to tempo. This was the last rehearsal where we will take things down tempo as a group. If you need to practice down tempo on your own, do it, but be prepared to play at half note=120 at next week’s rehearsal. Tonight we kept on slowing down. Let’s see if we can capture a steady tempo next week!
Galante– We made great strides on expression tonight. Continue to think about stretching any 8th notes. They CANNOT rush in this piece–especially if they lead into the next measure. Winds–please practice with a tuner on your music stand. Figure out which notes need your attention and how much you need to bend the pitch to stay in tune.
With any extra time work on the Poupel (Lullaby) and the Bizet (Carillon)
If you are interested in being a student speaker this year, please add your name to this form. We are looking for one speaker for Fall Festival, but we will also need several other speakers this season as well. Fill in your name wherever interested.
Finally,
Meet the Percussion Section!
Henry and Wyatt, you fill our orchestra with precision and color. Thanks for being awesome!
Have a great week everyone, and always Live your life Con Brio!
