Letter from Dan (9/22)
Dear Concertino West,
Excellent work last night in rehearsal! I also enjoyed the time we spent together at the retreat this weekend. It was great to see so many of you connecting with other musicians in our orchestra! I’m also impressed with the progress we’ve made as an ensemble in just four rehearsals!
Retreat & Rehearsal Recap
During the retreat, we spent the morning working on Beethoven (19-104), Russian Sailor’s Dance (Beginning to Rehearsal 3 and the ending), and Debussy (B section). We then did some team building activities, had lunch, and came back to end the day with Johnny Comes Marching Home. At our regular rehearsal this week, we worked on the rhythms (triplets!) in Debussy and reviewed much of what we worked on at the retreat.
