Letter from Dan (5/4)

Dear Concertino West,

Thank you for a great rehearsal this week! I’m really excited for our performance on Saturday at Orchestra Hall! We are performing Of the Extraterrestrial Sort and Lord of the Rings along with Jupiter from memory!

This week, we worked on isolating a few sections in each of our pieces to improve the details. Between now and Saturday, can you find three sections in each of our Spring Festival pieces to improve on your own at home? Here are some ideas:

• Note accuracy and intonation
• Rhythm and steady beat
• Articulation
• Dynamics

Next Monday, you do not need to bring your instrument to rehearsal, but you DO need to bring your folder! We’ll return our music, play trivia, and enjoy some treats to close out the season.
