Letter from Dan (3/9)
Dear Concertino West,
I’m sorry I missed you on Monday, but it sounds like you had a great time with Mr. Gaudette! Thank you to those of you who invited special guests to our rehearsal on Monday and also to those who made our guests feel welcome.
This week’s question is: What are two ideas or techniques from Mr. Gaudette that we can apply to improve our orchestra’s playing? Click here to fill out the form by this Sunday and you’ll be a VIP at our next Treat Night!
Your GTCYS10 this week:
- Freshwater Pirates:
- Start familiarizing yourself with this piece
- Practice beginning to m. 65
- Lord of the Rings
- Practice m.123 to the end
- Of the Extraterrestrial Sort
- Metronome practice! Put your metronome on at Quarter = 150 and practice mm. 22-67
Next week, strings will begin rotating our seating every rehearsal. When you arrive, check the seating chart to find out where your seat will be for that rehearsal. We’ll do this for four weeks, so everyone has a chance to sit in a different part of the section!
See you next Monday!
Dan
