Letter from Dan (12/1)
Dear Concertino West,
Thank you for an excellent rehearsal last night! We worked on playing through all of Sleigh Ride (including reviewing the road map!), getting the tempo a little faster in Beethoven, a playthrough of the Coleridge-Taylor Waltz, and played the last tune in Chanukah Celebration.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Student Directory Scavenger Hunt! It was fun reading the “shout-outs” from our Fall Festival performance and seeing how many commonalities we have!
If you haven’t yet, choose one composer to learn about:
- Ludwig van Beethoven(Symphony No. 5)
- Samuel Coleridge-Taylor(Four Characteristic Waltzes)
- Leroy Anderson(Sleigh Ride)
- Reinhold Gliere(Russian Sailor’s Dance)
Fill out this form to share one thing you found surprising about this composer!
