Dear Concertino West,
Wow, I was really impressed with your work at our retreat on January 17 and sectionals last night! We are making fantastic progress on this music! I also appreciate the positive energy and motivation for excellence you bring to every rehearsal.
Seating Auditions
Seating auditions will take place during rehearsal on Monday, February 9 and this week we handed out the excerpts to prepare. If you were absent or didn’t get a handout, you can find this information on our member page (password: concertinowest25-26). We’ll also have extra copies at rehearsal next week if you need one.
GTCYS10 for this week

- Review the 1st and 2nd movements
- Counting rhythms and rests is super important!
- Lord of the Rings:
- All:Practice 68-end
- Extraterrestrial:
- Review: Beginning-67
- It’s very important to subdivide 8th notes in this piece so you can play the rhythm accurately.
- White Walls & Smile and a High Five:
- Continue to listen to recordings
- Work on techniques and tips your sectional coach shared with you
- The OK Factor will be visiting our rehearsal on Monday, February 16!
