Harmony LNFI Week 12 – No Harmony on Monday or Wednesday, 01/19 and 01/21
Dear L’Etoile du Nord Families,
This week, we worked on music for our concert coming up in February. Our word of the week was “Courage.”
Here are a few of the things we talked about:
- Courage feels like being brave
- Courage feels like feeling proud
- Courage can mean you feel scared
- Courage is helping your friends when they are nervous
- It takes courage to try new things and learn a new skill
No Harmony on Monday or Wednesday Next Week
Since there is no school on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday next week, our next Harmony day will be on Friday, January 23. Please encourage your students to play their instruments this week!

Concert Dress:
I will share more details about the February 28 concert next week, but please start thinking about what your student will wear for the concert. “Concert dress” is “Black on top and black on the bottom.”
That means:
- Top: Black ¾ to long sleeved black shirt (elbow length or longer)
- Bottom: Long black dress slacks OR floor- or
ankle-length black skirt (not form-fitting) - Socks: Black socks or tights
- Shoes: Black dress shoes (no open toes, sandals,
or sneakers)
Attendance at Harmony
If you are not able to get to Harmony for any reason, please remember to submit an absence form! If you need to discuss a leave of absence because your student is enrolling in online school, please send me an email emily@gtcys.org
