Fall Retreat

Hello Philharmonia East families, 

We are excited for your upcoming Fall Retreat at the Maplewood YMCA Community Center on Saturday, September 13 from 9:00am–1:00pm.  

If your student must be absent from the retreat, please do not reply to this email: complete a Philharmonia East absence form. 

RETREAT INFORMATION  

Saturday, September 13, 2025, 9:00am–1:00pm  
Maplewood YMCA Community Center 
2100 White Bear Ave 
Maplewood, MN 55109 

Reference this map for entrance instructions. Look for the green GTCYS signs on the main entrance doors and go to Banquet Room C. 

Retreat schedule: 

• 8:45am: Parents drop off students at Maplewood YMCA Community Center  
• 9:00am: Rehearsals and fun group activities. Snacks provided by GTCYS. 
• 11:30am: Lunch 
• Students bring their own packed lunches.  
• NO NUTS policy: Do not bring anything containing nuts to any GTCYS activity. 
• 12:15pm: Rehearsal 
• 1:00pm: Retreat ends (parents, please pick up your students promptly at 1:00pm) 

WHAT TO BRING  

• Music stand—IMPORTANT, as we don’t have extras on site 
• Lunch 
• Instrument and accessories 
• Pencil 
• Music folder   
• Water bottle 
• Cellos and basses: Please remember rock stops!
