Concertino East School Tour Registration Details

Hello, Concertino East families,

We are excited for you to embark on your Tour of Schools on Friday, April 17. This special event will include performances at two elementary schools and a clinic at the University of Minnesota with Mark Russell Smith!

SCHOOL TOUR OVERVIEW

This immersive “day of GTCYS” is a highlight of the Concertino East season!

Concertino East students will:

  • Introduce elementary school children to the full orchestra (many only have heard strings alone or band alone).
  • Raise awareness of GTCYS’ programs in the community.
  • Share the entire day with your fellow GTCYS musicians.
  • Visit a college campus and experience a clinic with Mark Russell Smith.
  • Build stamina, endurance, and attention by performing the same concert program multiple times, which is common for professionals, but rare for student ensembles!

A note about attendance:
This event occurs on a school day, and therefore cannot be mandatory, but your participation is crucial for a successful tour. For the success of the orchestra, please make every effort to participate.
