Chamber Music for Strings

Chamber Music for Strings
Concertino and Camerata string players are invited to join the GTCYS Chamber Music Program this season! Chamber music is when a small group of musicians plays together without a conductor, which means you and your group make all the decisions about how the music should sound. It’s one of the best ways to grow as a musician!
Why Join a Chamber Ensemble?
- Strengthen musicianship by developing independence, leadership, listening, and ensemble skills through student-led rehearsals
- Cultivate positive relationships with orchestra peers
- Improve communication skills and teamwork
- Receive coaching from a professional musician
- Take part in extra performance opportunities in the GTCYS community and beyond
Chamber Music Details
- Rehearsals: Your group will meet about an hour before regular rehearsal at your orchestra’s venue.
- Schedule: 16 total sessions starting the week of October 27 and through the end of the season. The full schedule can be found by visiting this link and clicking on your orchestra.
